Founding Principal, President

Elaine Rogers is a founding principal and current president of Rogers DeSimone, a position she has held since the founding of the firm as Henderson Rogers Structural Engineers in 2005. Throughout Elaine’s decades of experience in the design of building structures, she has helped build the firm’s reputation for excellence by providing consistent, responsive service to owners, architects and design-build clients.

Elaine brings a wealth of expertise across a broad spectrum of sectors, including educational, healthcare, commercial, and civic/community buildings, as well as mixed-use facilities. Her deep knowledge and innovative approach extend to complex and specialized projects, particularly in aviation. She approaches each project with a keen understanding of both the technical and aesthetic demands, earning her firm a stellar reputation for excellence in the industry.

Elaine has led such projects as the award-winning Discovery Green, an 11-acre public parks development that included three major buildings and various ornamental feature structures; the $2.6B United Airlines Terminal B Southside Expansion at George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) in Houston; and the Dallas-Fort Worth Internation Airport (DFW) Terminal C High Gates project, which was first use of modular construction at an airport.

Elaine has served in the Houston area for 25 years and has had her own firm for the past 20 years. She holds a Bachelor of Architecture and a BS in Civil Engineering from Texas Tech University and is a licensed professional engineer in several states. Elaine is certified LEED AP BD+C with the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) and a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), Structural Engineers Association of Texas (SEAoT), and the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC).
