Principal

Since joining Rogers DeSimone in 2008, Vivek Gurjar has been an integral part of the team and has overseen a diverse range of projects, including K-12 schools, airports, mixed-use developments, office towers, healthcare facilities, industrial warehouses, and residential towers. As firm's principal and a licensed professional engineer, Vivek ensures optimal project staffing, the timely achievement of project goals, and the highest quality control standards, making all management and technical decisions for the projects he oversees. In his position, Vivek helps with the smooth operations of the Houstin Office.

Specializing in modular construction, Vivek currently leads the team for such projects as Terminal F at the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), a new 400,000 SF airport terminal utilizing modular methods estimated at $1.6 billion; a $2.6 billion transformation of Terminal B at the George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) in Houston, a 765,000 SF concourse with 22 mainline gates that is now home to world’s largest United Fly Club. He is also a principal-in-charge for the $460 million addition at Houston’s Hobby airport.

Vivek’s significant past projects include the structural design of the High C Gate Renovation and Addition at DFW airport, the first U.S. airport terminal built using a modular approach, the Ballistic and Missile (BAM) Testing Facility at Texas A&M University, which when complete ranked as the largest laser and missile testing facility in the U.S., and the Ritz Carlton Residence in Woodlands, Texas, which features 111 condominiums.

He holds an MS in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington and a BS Civil Engineering from Gujarat University. He is a member of the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC), the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), and the Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute (PCI).
