Senior Project Engineer
Leading structural design efforts across a diverse range of building types and infrastructure projects since joining Rogers DeSimone in 2010, Komal Patel manages project delivery from concept through construction. She oversees project documentation, coordination, quality control, and mentors junior engineers and BIM technicians. She also forecasts team resources and maintains project schedule alignment.
Komal brings extensive expertise in the structural design of steel bridges and buildings across project sectors, particularly aviation facilities. She currently serves as Project Manager for the 755,000 SF Terminal B Processor at Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH), a major aviation facility with an estimated construction cost of $649 million.
Her past experience includes managing high-profile projects like the Axiom Space Headquarters at Houston Spaceport, Shadow Creek Library in Pearland, and TIRR Memorial Hermann in Webster. Komal has served on the structural design teams for the expansion of both George Bush Intercontinental Airport and Houston Hobby Airport, and such education projects as the Meadows Elementary School and the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley’s Academic Building.
Komal holds an MS in Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington and a BS from Gujarat University in India.
